Rabits ウサギ野郎！

I believe many people love rabbits because they are so cute.  Besides, I was born in the year of rabbits.  Therefore, I have many reason to love rabbits.  However, living with the wild life in Alaska, I have to hate them.  I do remember the story of Peter Rabbit. He was punished because of eating the vegetables of a farmer. Now, I understand why the farmer was so upset. 




たいていの人はウサギは可愛いので大好きだと思う。実は私もウサギ年のせいか憎めない。ところが、ここアラスカで野性的な生活をしていると、ウサギは厄介者であることが分かった。ピーターラビットが農場の野菜を盗んでやっつけられる話が身に染みて分かる。






The temperature has risen enough for us to plant flowers in Alaska.  We planted pansies, petunias, gerenium, lobelia, mimulus, etc..  However, you can see how the flowers were eaten on the photos. It is as if we are planting flowers to feed rabbits.  It is a war between us and rabbits.
















アラスカにようやく春の兆しが現れ、夜も氷点下までめったに下がらなくなったので、花を植えることにした。が、花を植えても、翌日には、花がいくつかウサギに食べられている。まるで、ウサギに餌をやるために花を植えているようなものだ。
