We picked cranberries today.
今日はクランベリー摘みをしました。





 

The color of berries is dark so they are easily overlooked.

色が濃くなった実の方がおいしいそうですが、目立たなく見逃してしまいます。

In addition, berries sometimes grow behind a leaf.

おまけに実は葉の陰に付いています。

My Home in Alaska アラスカの家

My house's backyard covered by fog.  The temprature this morning at 8:15 on Sep. 22 was 29.7 degree F.
川霧に包まれた我が家の裏庭。9/22/11朝8:15頃の気温は摂氏氷点下-1.3度。

My favorate house from backyard.  It is surrounded by Spruce trees, Quaking Aspens, Popolar and etc.

FALL COLOR IN ALASKA - アラスカの黄葉

Fall in Alaska moves in very quickly.  After the color of leaves changed into yellow, leaves started to fall within a few days.

FOG ON KENAI RIVER 毛嵐

There was beautiful fog on the Kenai River this moring. 
今朝キーナイ川に毛嵐（川霧）がかかっていました。

At around 6:30, air temperature was 34degree F and water temperature was 50.1 degree F. It looked so mysterious.  Merganzers were about to cross the river.

6時半頃、気温は約１度、川の水温は約10度。　とっても神秘的な光景でした。右下にいるカワアイサというアヒルたちが川を横切ろうとしているところです。

Tennis in Florida フロリダでのテニス

I took a tennis lesson the first time in Florida.  The lesson there was quite different from what I have in Japan.  The lesson was mainly consisted of games.
It was very easy to join a lesson, no addmission fee, no contract.  Just make a reservation and go there and pay money.  Then you can join a class.
初めてフロリダでテニスのレッスンを受けました。日本でのテニスレッスンと少し違ってゲームが主体のものでした。また、クラスに参加するのも簡単で、入会金や契約書など難しいことは何もなく、予約をして、お金を払えばすぐ参加できました。

51 FEET BOAT RIDE

While in Stuart, Florida, we went for a ride on a 51 foot yacht. This boat has 3 bedrooms that will sleep 7 people, 4 bathrooms, and a beautiful kitchen and living room. We exited the St. Lucie Inlet through a passageway created by a stone break water.

フロリダのスチュアートで51フィートボートに乗りました。ベッドルームが4つあり7人が休めます。トイレは4つ。綺麗なキッチンもリビングももちろん備わっています。

We exited the St. Lucie Inlet through a passageway created by a stone break water. Then we traveled North and South along the coast of the Atlantic Ocean for several hours. We were looking for a school of fish known as Cobia. We did not spot any. Near the Southern end of our search, we had a good view of tiger Woods home on Jupiter Island. 　　

防波堤に沿ってセントルーシー入り江から外に出、海岸沿いに大西洋を行ったり来たりしながら、コビアという魚の群れを探していましたが、みつかりませんでした。海岸の南端にあるジュピター島まで行くとタイガーウッドの家がありました。

His next door neighbors' house is still under construction, but it is owned by Celene Dion. The coast of Jupiter Island is lined with many huge mansions.　

そのお隣は、建築中のセリーヌディオンのお家だそうです。ジュピター島にはこんな風にたくさんの大邸宅が並んでいました。

FALL COLOR-MINO 紅葉‐箕面

We visited Mino - Northern part of Osaka to view the beautiful fall colors of maple trees.  Many of the trees were as beautiful as these photos.

箕面に紅葉を楽しみに行ってきました。こんなきれいな写真が撮れて幸せです。

1984 1Q84

I skimmed through the 3rd in a series of books titled"1Q84" written by Haruki Murakami.  In Japanese, 1Q84 has the same sound of 1984.  I have 1984 by George Orwell but have never finished reading. 

1Q84の３巻目を読み終えた。この本に興味を持ったのは、ジョージオーエルの1984をまだ読み終えていなかったからだ。なんとか、1984を読み終えたいとは思うけどさていつになるやら。

Open - Andre Agassi オープン アンドレアガシ

I try to buy a book as a souvenior for myself when I visit the States. I

picked up this book recently because it looked easy to read. Once I opened the book, oh, my goodness, he writes as if he is talking. That means it will take longer to finish reading. However, it turned out to be quite readable. I learned how Agasi ended up playing tennis. I could not believe Steffi Graf married Agassi. Anyway, I feel happy for Agassi. It is very important for a person to have a right partner in your life.

アメリカに行く度に自分へのお土産として本を買うようにしています。アメリカで買うほうが安いからですが。やさしくて早く読めるものを選びます。今回選んだのは、テニスプレーヤーのアガシの本。読み始めてびっくり。いくら易しいといえど、しゃべり言葉で書かれているのには閉口。が、読み続けていると結構読める本でした。ずけずけと余り良からぬことを実名で書いて、それも、彼の性格でしょうか。いずれにせよ、自分の大好きな人と一緒になれて本当に良かったです。

San Francisico Airport - Sunrise

Sunrise from Sea Front Park where there are many airport hotels in San Francisco.  An aircraft is just landing.  Some times, two aircrafts are landing in a few minutes distance.  It is a very busy airport.　The bridge on the background is San Mateo Bridge crossing San Francisco Bay.

サンフランシスコ空港ホテルの立ち並ぶシーフロントパークからの日の出です。ちょうど１機の飛行機が着陸するところも撮れました。同時(１分程の間隔で）に２機着陸していることもありました。とっても忙しい空港です。背景の橋はサンフランシスコ湾をまたぐサンマテオ橋です。

Cabo San Lucas - Changing

Cabo San Lucas has a beautiful ocean view.  Many people are attracted to come here.  As a result, Cabo is changing.  So many time-share hotels and buildings are being built at the beach and on the hill.  It is getting ugly in sight.  I hope the authorities will control the view of nature while developing the land.

カボサンルカスは海の美しさから多くの観光客を引き付け、その結果、ホテルの乱立で醜くなってしまいました。海辺真近にこんなにもたくさんのホテルが立ち並び、丘にもいたるところにホテルやビルが立ち並ぶようになりました。できれば、政府が規制して景観と自然を守って欲しいものです。
